About JCM Driving School

We provide top quality driving lessons and courses to suit everyone, from beginners to experienced drivers and overseas drivers of all ages and abilities. Our driving school covers all of Royal Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey. If you learn to drive with one of our instructors, we guarantee you will graduate with the best driving education for life.

Driving tuition you can count on


We understand some students will learn more quickly than others, but you can rest assured our instructors are trained to deal with all the requirements you may have. Our premium vehicles are upgraded every year so you can enjoy a satisfactory drive. While training with us you will get the experience on every type of road hazard, obstacle, layout and the all too familiar busy stopping and starting of traffic (great for clutch control by the way!) You will become an experienced driver in no time and will have learned all you need to know rapidly and efficiently.

Thanks to the motivation and dedication of the team. Our popularity grew with our first special request in the Isle of Wight.

At the start of 2020 we became one of the leading driving schools in Royal Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West London.

JCM Driving School rebrands in 2019 to the instantly recognisable symbol it is today.

JCM Driving School continues to grow with an increase of instructors brought on board.

JCM Driving School was founded in the heart of Windsor as a two-person driving school with the determination to do things differently.

Learner Driver FAQs

  • How long do your lessons last?

    A: 1 hours  45 minutes - this is so that we can get some good driving under our belts and feel comfortable behind the wheel.

  • How long does it take for learner drivers to be test ready?

    A: There are 2 tests - the theory and the practical. Students can sit their theory test before having any driving lessons, as long as they have done some preparation. For a practical  test, it usually takes 30-50 hours of practical driving practice, depending on the driver's progress and ability.

  • Can I book a block of lessons?

    A: Yes, you can - just give us a call and we can work out the best way for you to get started.

  • Can you pick up from my child's school?

    Absolutely - we pick up students from school, college, home or work, that way it's as convenient as possible for you. We also do the same with drop-offs at the end of the lesson.

  • How long does it take to complete Pass Plus?

    A: The standard Pass Plus takes a minimum of 6 hours. There are six modules to cover and we will dedicate at least an hour to each one. Students get a certificate when they complete the course.

Driving Instructor FAQs

  • What kind of salary could I earn?

    A: A driving instructor can easily earn over £40,000 per annum.

  • Would I have to work 7 days a week?

    A: We do offer driving lessons 7 days a week, but as you manage your own diary, how much you work is up to you. This makes it a great career choice for people who have children or other caring responsibilities, or who simply want to be in charge of their working life.

  • How much does the instructor course cost?

    A: Between £1,500 and £3,000, depending on how long it takes you to pass the 3 part instructor test. This is far less investment than most franchise opportunities, and gives you the qualifications to get you started right away. You'll then have a place on the JCM driving school team, so you don't have to worry about bringing new work in.

  • How long does it take to complete the instructor course?

    A: It can take up to 8 weeks depending on how much time you have to spend on preparation for the tests. 

  • How busy will I be on a weekly basis?

    Good question, with us you will have the opportunity to work full time or part time and overtime is available throughout the whole year.
